Kooks Creamery - Bringing Molten Lava to the Next Level

Calling all dessert lovers, Kooks Creamery is known for their exploding molten lava cookies. "What?! Molten Lava Cookies?!" was exactly my expressions when I first heard of Kooks.

We usually have molten lava cake, but molten lava cookie is something new and addicting, I must say.

Kooks Creamery is a small, approximately 20-seater parlour located at Serangoon, specialising in Molten Lava Cookie. This place gets a little crowded during weekends, so if you want to enjoy the ambience and chill with your friend, I recommend you to go during weekdays.

The ice cream comes in a wide range of variety, wide enough to leave you with drools and pleasure. If this wide range leads you to indecisiveness, do not worry. You are allowed to try the ice cream before buying. Personally, my favourite flavours come to milk cereal and butter flavoured ice cream.

Served with a scoop of ice cream of our choice, the combination of the warm lava cookie and the cold ice cream, their molten lava cookie set successfully lifted my spirit up. It only took me awhile to realise that stressed spelled backward would be desserts.

Kooks Signature Lava Set with Mint Ice Cream ($8.50)

A warm molten chocolate gushed out of the warm and soft cookie. The cookie is crumbly on the outside, and soft on the inside, leaving you with that melt-in-your mouth texture, juxtaposing the crunchy corn flakes. When accompanied by mint ice cream, it leaves you with an overall smooth texture. I simply feel in love with its combination.

Matcha Lava Set with Dark Chocolate Ice Cream ($8.60)

Comes with an authentic matcha flavour that does not taste too artificial, this one is a definitely must-try for matcha lovers out there. Comes with the same crumbly and soft, and chewy texture, I only hoped that it comes with more molten matcha fillings inside.

Despite served with less molten fillings compared to their signature set, my favourite will always be their matcha set. I suggest you to come with your friend, so you can try both their matcha and signature set.
